Code of Conduct
In order to maintain the high standards the club has set itself, Committee members, coaches, members and parents are expected to adhere to the code of conduct. All parties are asked to sign below.
The Club and its Committee will:
- Ensure that all parties adhere to the Code of Conduct and take appropriate action if not.
- Provide all necessary kit and equipment.
- Ensure that all managers and coaches are appropriately trained.
- Provide adequate insurance cover.
- Fairly address any grievances and make decisions that are in the best interests of the club.
- Liaise with the child protection officer to ensure all related issues are addressed.
Club Officials will:
- Respect the Club and opposition's coaches, officials and supporters.
- Respect the Club and opposition's property and equipment.
- Never use language which may offend others.
- Respect referees and any decisions they may make.
- Never abuse a child or parent in any way.
- Always be punctual for training and on match days.
- Never take alcohol or drugs whilst children are under their supervision.
- Encourage fair play within the rules of the game.
- Have an adequate knowledge of the rules of the game.
- Always make decisions which are in the best interest of the children and the Club.
- Always make time to listen to children’s or parent's queries / grievances and bring them to the attention of the Committee.
- Involve and be prepared to coach children of all abilities.
- When necessary, discipline the children in a proper manner, in accordance with the Club regulations.
- Not play players who are known to be injured.
Members will:
- Respect the Club and opposition’s coaches, officials and supporters.
- Respect the Club and opposition’s property and equipment.
- Never use language which may offend others.
- Respect referees and any decisions they may make.
- Never abuse other members in any way.
- Respect the opposition players and always fair play within the rules of the game.
- Always be punctual for training and on match days.
- Always wear suitable kit, as required by the coaches.
- Attend training sessions and if ever unable to attend inform the manager or coach in advance.
- If playing regularly for one of the teams and unavailable for a match, give as much notice as possible to the team manager.
- Never expect financial reward from parents for scoring goals as this discourages team play.
- Never take alcohol or drugs whilst under the supervision of a Club official.
- Always encourage other members.
- Notify coaches of any injuries.
Parents will:
- Respect the Club and opposition's coaches, officials, players and supporters.
- Respect the Club and opposition's property and equipment.
- Never use language which may offend others.
- Respect referees and any decisions they may make.
- Encourage their child at all times.
- Refrain from rewarding their child financially for scoring goals as this discourages team play.
- Respect decisions made by Club officials, as they will always be made in the best interest of the Club.
- Refrain from getting involved in coaching sessions.
- Notify coaches of any injuries.
- Ensure the manager / coaches know the drop off and collection arrangements for your child after training and on match days for Under 14’s and above.
- For Under 13's and below ensure you drop off and collect your child at the appointed place.
